Mulberry Kefir Compote

It’s mulberry season! Mulberries are everywhere at the moment - how lucky are we that kefir pairs so beautifully with them.


To make the compote, place 500g of fresh mulberries in a saucepan. Sprinkle 5 tbsp unrefined coconut sugar and 3 tbsp lemon juice over the berries, then bring to the boil. Turn down low and simmer for about 10 minutes. Enjoy on a warm bowl of porridge covered in kefir. What a comforting start to the day!
